Arrow Trucking to Replace Fleet with New Freightliners

Flatbed carrier Arrow Trucking Co. has entered into a financing agreement with DaimlerChrysler Truck Financial under which it will replace its 1,400-truck fleet over five years, the Tulsa World newspaper reported Thursday.

DaimlerChrysler Truck Financial, based in Lisle, Ill., will finance the purchase of Freightliner trucks for the firm, the paper reported on its Web site, citing company officials.

Arrow, Tulsa, Okla., operates 1,400 trucks, 2,700 trailers and has 1,700 employees, unchanged from a year ago, the paper said. Arrow provides flatbed, specialized transportation and logistics services in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The agreement with DaimlerChrysler continues a longstanding association between the companies, the Tulsa World said, citing company officials.

Arrow Trucking is ranked No. 91 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
