No details on the contract were released.

The current agreement, which was set to expire March 31, has been extended to allow time for the ratification process to occur. Plans call for representatives of local Teamster unions to meet in the next two weeks to review the contract. If approved the contract will be sent to membership for a ratification vote.

Less-than-truckload carrier ABF Freight is the largest subsidiary of Fort Smith, Ark.-based ArcBest, which ranks No. 12 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest for-hire carriers in North America.
