The recall affects nearly 850,000 Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge and Ram vehicles in the United States from model years 2026 and 2027, Stellantis said Aug. 17.

Volkswagen should consider “every option” to usher in a turnaround, Porsche Automobil Holding said Aug. 7, its strongest plea yet for swift change.

Global sales in June fell 1.1% from a year earlier to 926,688 units, the company said in a statement July 30. Production climbed 2.2% to 984,408 vehicles.

The Germany-based company said group sales fell 8.6% in the second quarter to just under 2.1 million vehicles. Sales in China plummeted by more than a third.
