The Connecticut Bond Commission on Feb. 16 approved a $4 million loan to Morgan Truck Body, which builds dry freight and refrigerated truck bodies for companies throughout the country. The company plans to construct a $19 million manufacturing plant that is expected to create more than 100 new jobs, according to bond commission minutes.

Western Express has paid more than $1.7 million for 12 acres in Plainfield, Conn., to expand its operations.
