Volvo’s North American Deliveries Rise 1% in July

Volvo Group’s North American truck deliveries rose 1% in July from the same month last year, the company reported Aug. 20.

North American deliveries rose to 4,852 trucks from 4,786 a year ago, Gothenberg, Sweden-based Volvo Group said.

Volvo Trucks’ deliveries declined 4% in North America to 2,830, while Mack Trucks’ rose 9% to 1,985 trucks.

Deliveries of its Renault Trucks brand jumped 186% to 20 in North America, and UD Trucks increased 31% to 17. 



Volvo Group’s worldwide deliveries for all of its brands increased 1% to 15,586 trucks, while its heavy-duty deliveries rose 3% to 13,205.

South American deliveries plunged 34% to 1,039, European deliveries increased 5% to 5,884, and Asian deliveries rose 27% to 2,537.

Volvo Group makes Volvo and Mack trucks in North America and includes the UD Trucks and Renault Trucks brands worldwide.
