U.S. Trade Gap Widens in June

The U.S. trade deficit widened 4% in June, the Commerce Department said Wednesday.

The gap between imports and exports rose to $27 billion, from $26 billion in May, Commerce said.

Economists had forecast the deficit would rise to $28.7 billion, Bloomberg said.

Exports rose 2%, while imports rose 2.3%, led by higher oil prices in June.
