The program for the first annual convention for the American Trucking Associations included a presentation by Joseph Eastman, federal coordinator of transportation, and plenty of talk about the state of the fledgling trucking industry, which is not too different from the lineup at the ATA Management Conference and Exhibition set to begin Oct. 17 in Philadelphia.
