Less than half of truckers polled in December say the hours-of-service suspension will affect business positively, Bloomberg News reported.

Close to 44% of truck drivers polled in a Bloomberg/Internet Truckstop survey believed the suspension would be a positive, the news agency reported Jan. 8.

Drivers again will be able to restart their weekly hours by taking at least 34 hours off without being required to include two consecutive nights between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m., giving drivers more flexibility.

Of those surveyed, 44% said the change will have no impact.
