Tri-State Truck Center Inc. announced it invested $3.7 million to expand its Springfield, Mo., dealership that sells models by Mack Trucks, Volvo Trucks North America and International.

Featuring a new sales lobby and offices, expanded parts department, new service areas and increased warehouse space, the facility’s redesign is intended to improve efficiencies while enhancing the user experience for customers and employees, according to the company.

“Tri-State Truck Center is one of Volvo Trucks’ top-selling dealer groups in the Central South,” VTNA President Peter Voorhoeve said in a release.

“Tri-State is an excellent example of the commitment Mack dealers have to our brand and customers, delivering a premium experience that meets all of their parts and service needs,” said Jonathan Randall, Mack Trucks senior vice president of North American sales and commercial operations.

Mack and VTNA are brands of Gothenburg, Sweden-based Volvo Group. International is a brand of Navistar Inc.

Founded in 1945 by F.A. Maddox Sr. as Tri-State Mack, the dealership originally had seven employees at its Memphis, Tenn., location. The dealership has grown to 360 employees and nine full-service locations in Tennessee, Missouri, Arkansas and Mississippi. — Transport Topics
