TravelCenters Opens TA Express in Almeda, Texas

TravelCenters of America said Oct. 7 that it opened a new TA Express travel center in Almeda, Texas.
TA Express Almeda offers fueling, convenience items, dining options and other services for professional drivers and motorists. The site was also remodeled to include new restrooms, showers, laundry facilities and a driver lounge.
The TA Express travel center is within the Houston metropolitan area on state Highway 288 at 12602 South Freeway.

It is a franchised site, which was formerly known as Swift Mart, bringing TA’s total nationwide network to 276 locations.
“Franchising our TA Express brand has allowed us to expand our network to serve more travelers,” TA CEO Jon Pertchik said in a statement. “We are pleased to have another updated, refreshed facility for the many professional drivers and motorists passing through the Houston area.”
