Trac Intermodal Acquires Tire Services Division of Core Fleet
Trac Intermodal, a North American chassis pool manager and intermodal equipment provider, announced Nov. 6 that it had acquired the tire services division of Core Fleet. The acquisition allows Trac’s subsidiary Trac Tire Services to provide tire wholesale, service, parts distribution and retreading.
“This acquisition will enable us to provide improved fleet tire solutions to our customers while controlling their quality and cost,” Trac Intermodal CEO Jennifer Polli said in a press release.
Core Fleet is headquartered in Florence, Ky., and provides services for commercial fleets nationwide. Trac Tire Services will operate out of a new 102,000-square-foot facility in Florence, Ky., starting in 2019, immediately doubling its manufacturing capacity.
