TMC Workforce Expands Supply Chain Business With Purchase of Summitline Industries

TMC Workforce Solutions, a national staffing and recruiting firm based in Houston, announced it has acquired Summitline Industries in Fort Wayne, Ind., as part of an effort to expand its supply chain support business.

Terms were not disclosed.

“Summitline Industries is a company that I have admired for years while working in the industry and running a complimentary business in the same state,” TMC Workforce Solutions President and CEO James Morris II said in a statement issued Sept. 25. “TMC and Summitline share many of the same customers and suppliers. We value the longstanding success of Summitline Industries and are committed to providing the team of dedicated employees the resources needed to continue the success they have built over the last three decades.”

Summitline, established in 1983, offers procurement, warehousing and distribution, order fulfillment and domestic and international shipping services. The company will adopt the name TMC Supply Chain Solutions, but key members of management will remain in place, company officials said.

TMC is a nationally certified minority business enterprise and can help companies find minority-owned suppliers to meet corporate diversity goals.

“This investment illustrates our confidence in the future of outsourced MBE procurement and supply chain services as customers and suppliers expand the market over the coming decades,” Morris said.

TMC has more than 500 employees in five states.
