Wilson, who owns five Grand Champion crowns at the state level, will face stiff competition. Several drivers who finished second in their classes in 2018 are lining up for another shot at a victory that would guarantee a trip to 2019 NTDC in Pittsburgh in August.

An estimated 65 drivers will compete in the event, which will be staffed by about 55 volunteers.

This year’s Nevada Truck Driving Championships marks the first time the competition will be held at the Regional Public Safety Training Center in Reno.
