Tech Firms Unveil Products, Upgrades at TMW TransForum

TMW Systems unveiled a series of products enhancements and upgrades at its TMW TransForum 2011, being held this week in Dallas.

The Cleveland-based transportation software maker said its Innovative Enterprise Transportation software has been integrated with Qualcomm Inc.’s hours-of-service products.

The move allows the synchronizing of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration-required HOS data between trucks the home office.

TMW also revealed an agreement with ProMiles Software Development Corp. to offer an online fuel tax reporting and automation service called TMW Fuel Tax Online.

The new service is now available to TMW software users required to file International Fuel Tax Agreement quarterly tax reports for their fleet operations.

TMW also said it is working with PeopleNet Communications Corp. on several technology projects that will automate workflows and improve reporting for carriers.

Those include incorporating TMW TruckMate with PeopleNet’s Enhanced Automated Workflow to improve billing, integrating TMW’s TMT Fleet Maintenance with PeopleNet’s eDVIR (electronic driver vehicle inspection report) and Vehicle Management products.

The two companies are also working on linking TMW’s IDSC MatchAdvice with PeopleNet’s eDriver Logs to enhance estimated-time-of-arrival calculations for use in load matching and allowing HOS data from electronic logs to be updated and calculated.

The companies said that the inclusion of PeopleNet’s Vehicle Management data into TMW’s Data Warehouse reporting system expands their users’ range of business and maintenance analytics.
