The Customs Service program, "Free and Secure Trade" or FAST, is scheduled to go into effect this month at six U.S.-Canada border crossings, beginning with the Ambassador Bridge in Detroit.

Roadway Express Inc., one of the largest LTL carriers in the United States, and its Canadian subsidiary, Reimer Express Lines Ltd., recently announced they had signed up for FAST.
