img src="/sites/default/files/images/articles/printeditiontag_new.gif" width=120 align=right>BALTIMORE — Planning for the possibility a company's truck may be used in a terrorist attack is a necessity, but it would not necessarily break the bank, security planning experts on a panel said last week.

In addition, the security professionals speaking at American Trucking Associations' Safety & Loss Prevention Management Council's 2002 Security Forum here said companies of all sizes needed to increase the scope of their planning to help thwart possible attacks and prepare for any eventuality.

"It is not if, but when, a breach will occur," said John Copenhaver, senior vice president of Marsh Crisis Consulting. "There will be a lot of decisions to make and probably not a lot of time to make them."
