Roadmaster Completes Tri-State Motor Transit Acquisition

The Roadmaster Group Inc. announced it completed the acquisition of Missouri-based Tri-State Motor Transit Co. through a stock purchase.

The transaction, whose terms weren’t disclosed, creates a company with annual revenue of more than $100 million, focused on high security freight. Roadmaster now has three divisions — Secured Land Transport, Roadmaster Specialized and Tri-State, with a fleet of more than 300 drivers who are company drivers or owner-operators who  run primarily as teams.

Roadmaster’s CEO John Wilbur said in a statement that the company “will be the pre-eminent player in the high security transportation industry serving both the government and commercial sectors. This will also be great news for our blue chip customer base since we will be able to deliver even more capacity and lane density.”

Roadmaster, of Glendale, Arizona, is targeting 30% annual growth after a short integration period, the company statement said.
