RLS Logistics took another step in growing its national network of cold storage providers Sept. 4 with the inclusion of Gress Refrigerated Services & Logistics.

Gress is a third-generation family-owned cold storage provider operating in northeast Pennsylvania.

“Gress’ success demonstrates its commitment to maintaining long-standing relationships with its customers,” RLS Warehousing Group CEO Tony Leo said in a statement. “This makes them an ideal complement to our network of top regional family-run cold storage providers. We welcome them to our family and are excited about our future together.”

RLS created its network of cold chain operators to provide customers a regional platform with national scale consisting of best-in-class family-operated companies. These companies in turn gain access to updated technology, quality systems and national reach.

“We are very excited to become part of RLS, a national leader in cold chain warehousing and transportation solutions,” Glenn Gress, president of Gress Refrigerated Services, said in a statement. “As a family-owned business, partnering with RLS is a natural fit because we share the same values and commitments.”

Gress will help bolster the network with its multiple facility locations, multiple temperature zones, asset-based transportation services and less-than-truckload consolidation.

The RLS network now has an additional 365,000 square feet of temperature-controlled warehousing with capacity for 38,600 pallet positions. — Transport Topics
