Rand McNally Upgrades, TPC 7600

Rand McNally Inc. said it has upgraded the hardware for its TPC 7600 mobile communication fleet-management system.

The company also said it has reduced the size of the 7600’s mounted box to one-third the size of the earlier generation device. The smaller size allows the unit to be installed in several locations in the front or back of the cab.

“The goal was to create a less costly product for our customers, without losing the features,” Rand McNally CEO Dave Muscatel said in a statement. “In the process, we were able to refine the design, reducing the size of the box, simplifying installation and creating some valuable improvements,” he said.

Rand McNally said it has added a driver vehicle inspection report and an oil-field exception report to the product’s hours-of-service application.
