Quala Acquires Gator Environmental & Rentals Inc.

QualaWash Holdings LLC, a unit of Roark Capital Group, said it acquired wastewater services company Gator Environmental & Rentals Inc.

Tampa, Florida-based Quala did not disclose the terms of the deal but said the acquisition would accelerate its continued expansion of nonhazardous wastewater disposal services.

“We are excited about the addition of Gator to the Quala brand and believe our combined wastewater expertise and capabilities provides us with additional avenues for continued organic and acquisition growth,” Quala CEO Mike Bauer said in a statement.

Gator’s management team will remain in place, and Jeff Burnett, Gator’s vice president of operations and co-founder, will continue to run the company, Quala said.

Port Allen, Louisiana-based Gator represents Quala's ninth acquisition since 2012 and expands its national footprint to more than 60 locations, according to Quala.

Gator serves a diverse customer base across a range of end markets, including chemicals, midstream oil and gas and downstream oil and gas, Quala said.

Quala said it operates more than 60 locations in the United States and Canada and provides tank trailer, intermediate bulk container and ISO container cleaning and maintenance.

Atlanta-based Roark Capital, a private-equity firm, said Gator represents its 60th transaction in the environmental services sector.
