Port Logistics Group, a Los Angeles-based warehousing and transloading company, announced its first expansion into the Midwest on April 4.

Port Logistics officials said they will take control of multiclient operations at a 305,000-square-foot facility in Columbus, Ohio. The warehouse specializes in home goods and will serve e-commerce retailers as they expand their direct-to-consumer businesses.

The Columbus center becomes the company’s 16th U.S. facility. Besides multifacility campuses near the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, the company operates three facilities near the Port of New York and New Jersey; and single fulfillment centers in Savannah, Ga., Seattle and Jacksonville, Fla.

Port Logistics Group has 6.3 million square feet of warehouse space, according to the company. — Transport Topics
