The Port of Los Angeles said it will not appeal a decision by the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals that rejected the port’s plan to ban independent truckers from drayage operations there.

“We’re pleased that most aspects of the Port of Los Angeles clean truck program model have been upheld by the courts,” Geraldine Knatz, the port’s executive director, said in a statement.

American Trucking Associations, which declared last month’s circuit court decision a “major victory,” was pleased with the port’s decision not to seek a review, a spokesman said.
