Pegasus TransTech Adds New Truck-Stop Scanning Service

Technology supplier Pegasus TransTech said it is offering a new service, Transflo On-Demand, which enables drivers to print, fax or email documents through its nationwide truck-stop scanning network.

The new document delivery and retrieval service is designed to help carriers, brokers and drivers transmit critical paperwork more easily and efficiently, the company said.

Drivers can use the Transflo Express kiosks at truck stops to process border-crossing documents, insurance or claims paperwork, permits, human-resources documents, rate-confirmation sheets, bills of lading for intermodal shipments and paperwork requiring signatures.

The service also enables drivers to retrieve stored documents from the kiosks, the Tampa, Florida-based company said.

The service reduces out-of-route miles while providing a more cost-effective method of transmitting documents than traditional faxing services, CEO Frank Adelman said in the Oct. 23 announcement.

The Transflo On-Demand service is currently available at 10 locations and more than 400 locations will be added by the end of 2014, Pegasus TransTech said.
