Pac-Van has expanded its storage and warehousing operations with two recent acquisitions in the South and Southwest.

The Indianapolis-based firm offers intermodal storage containers, mobile office trailers, modular buildings and bulk liquid storage business for customers in the commercial, government, industrial and retail sectors.

Pac-Van owns 11 straight trucks, 102 power units and 81 trailers.

In September, the company purchased the San Antonio and Austin, Texas, area storage container fleet and office container rental fleet of Advantage Trailer. The buy added 300 containerized units to Pac-Van’s fleet. This month, Pac-Van expanded into Louisiana as it bought Gauthiers’ On-Site Storage’s storage container, office container and mobile office rental fleet. Pac-Van said the Gauthiers’ purchase added 1,500 units to its fleet. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Pac-Van is owned by Pasadena, Calif.-based General Finance Corp., which provides portable storage, modular space and liquid containment solutions. In North America, General Finance also owns portable-storage firm Lone Star Tank Rental, an operator of 12 straight trucks, 34 power units and 30 trailers, and Southern Frac, a manufacturer of liquid storage tank containers. In Australia and New Zealand, GFC operates leasing firm Royal Wolf Holdings, which offers portable storage units.
