The U.S. decision to lift its ban on Mexican trucks contained "discriminatory elements," said Secretary of Communications and Transports Pedro Cerisola in a Dec. 10 letter to Economy Secretary Luis Ernesto Derbez, according to the Mexico City newspaper El Universal.

The newspaper quoted sources close to Cerisola who said that since the U.S. rules are not equitable, Mexico does not have to allow American trucks into the country.
