The 140,000-square-foot building will have space for McLeod to consolidate two current offices in the Birmingham area and allow for continued growth. McLeod reports it expects to double in size in five years following an average growth rate of 20% for each of the past six years.

McLeod provides dispatch, accounting, operations, brokerage management and discount management software to trucking and logistics firms. CEO Tom McLeod founded the firm in Birmingham in 1985 and it now claims nearly 900 customers in the United States and Canada. The company in September held the McLeod Software User Conference in Atlanta.
