Over-the-road and regional flatbed drivers with Little Rock, Ark.-based Maverick Transportation LLC will receive their fourth pay increase this year, along with a new weekly guaranteed pay.

The new pay increase goes into effect Aug. 19, and will add 5 cents per mile for flatbed regional drivers and 3 cents per mile for flatbed over-the-road drivers. This will bring starting pay to 54 cents to 58 cents per mile and student starting pay to 52 cents per mile.

Along with the pay increase, Maverick also announced a $1,000-per-week guarantee pay that now applies to flatbed, glass and temperature-control OTR divisions.

“Maverick is excited to announce another significant pay increase for our over-the-road drivers,” said Maverick Transportation President John Culp. “Our drivers are the backbone of our company and we are proud to offer them this industry leading pay package.”

Already in 2018 Maverick has introduced a new pay-for-experience plan and a student pay increase in June. The temperature-control division drivers received a pay increase in April, and the glass and flatbed unit team drivers got increases last December. The company also announced new per diem pay and sign-on bonuses earlier this year. Maverick drivers also earn pay increases up to five years and up to a 6-cents-per-mile pay-for-performance bonus.
