Lovetro to Become USF Holland’s President, YRC Says

YRC Worldwide unit USF Holland’s president, John O’Sullivan, has left his position and will be succeeded by Keith Lovetro, who leads YRC’s Regional Transportation unit, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.

Bloomberg reported the move “was part of efforts to reorganize and stem losses,” citing an interview with Mike Smid, president of YRC’s North American Transportation unit.

O’Sullivan was named USF Holland president almost a year ago after serving as chief financial officer of the YRC Regional Transportation division, which includes USF Holland.

He left the post Monday to pursue other interests, Smid said, Bloomberg reported.

In addition to his duties as head of the North American transportation unit, Smid was named president of YRC’s Yellow Transportation unit late last month. (Click here for previous coverage.)

YRC, ranked No. 4 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers, said late last month that its first-quarter earnings may fall compared with a  year ago.
