Love’s Travel Stops bought driver legal aid specialist TVC Pro-Driver for an undisclosed sum on Oct. 4, the truck stop owner said.

Oklahoma City-based TVC Pro-Driver is a more than 35-year-old subscription service that assists drivers and fleets in their efforts to reduce or dismiss fines, preventing downtime spent in court and protecting compliance, safety and accountability scores.

The TVC Pro-Driver service gives drivers access to thousands of attorneys across 50 states and Canada.

“TVC Pro-Driver’s portfolio of offerings ties directly to our strategic vision of growing services for the customer base Love’s serves,” said Love’s President Shane Wharton.

“As we continue with our most active year of acquisitions to date, we are excited to welcome the TVC Pro-Driver team and learn from their experience, particularly in CDL protection, a new area for us,” Wharton added.

In April, Love’s completed the acquisition of EZ GO, the operator of 22 facilities in Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska.

Love’s plans to open 25 new truck stops in 2023, executives said in February.

The company plans to invest more than $1 billion upgrading 200 locations by 2028.

Love’s ranks No. 32 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest private carriers in North America. Love’s has 644 locations in the United States.
