IWLA Hires DeHaan as CEO

The International Warehouse and Logistics Association named Steve DeHaan as its CEO.

DeHaan replaces Joel Anderson, who is retiring from IWLA after leading the group for seven years, IWLA said in a Nov. 13 statement announcing the board of directors’ vote to hire DeHaan.

“DeHaan brings a long history of successful advocacy campaigns and association leadership focused on the residential retail, home-building and real estate industries,” IWLA said. He was most recently the CEO of the National Home Furnishings Association and led real estate associations before that.

“It’s important that I talk to members about their businesses to understand what type of education is needed to match the intended goals and to accurately represent and answer questions about our membership to congressional leaders and staff,” DeHaan said in the statement.
