The company, headquartered in Zeeland, Mich., has 50 far-flung dealerships, each with approximately five to 10 tractor-trailers to move furniture. Online training programs help the company meet and document OSHA training requirements, says Wieringa, who is not alone in his faith in online training and professional development.

In particular, companies with private fleets and multiple locations in different regions of the country say online services help them ensure that drivers and other employees are trained not only properly, but cost effectively.
