The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has declared U&D Service Inc. an “imminent hazard to public safety” and ordered the Indianapolis-based trucking company to cease operations.

Investigators found that the company was using drivers without valid commercial driver's licenses and drivers who do not meet federal English language proficiency requirements to operate a commercial vehicle.

“FMCSA will continue to do everything within its current legal authority to remove unsafe truck companies like U & D Service from our roadways,” FMCSA Administrator Anne Ferro said in a statement.
