Import Prices Jump 2.8% in March

The price of goods imported to the United States jumped 2.8% in March, the Labor Department said Friday.

The gain followed a 0.2% increase in February, Labor said. Prices excluding petroleum rose 0.9%.

U.S. export prices rose 1.5%, following a 1.1% increase the previous month, Labor said.
