Gasoline Price Rises 9¢ to $3.70 a Gallon, Lundberg Survey Says

Gasoline’s national average price rose 9 cents in the past two weeks to an average $3.70 a gallon, according to the latest Lundberg Survey of filling stations released Sunday.

Mid-grade also rose 9 cents to $3.76 a gallon, while premium slipped 3 cents, to $3.95, according to the survey of 2,500 stations taken Friday.

Diesel’s average pushed closer to $4, rising about 5 cents to $3.99 a gallon, analyst Trilby Lundberg said in her twice-monthly survey.

Tucson, Ariz., had the lowest price of cities surveyed, with an average gasoline price of $3.28, while Chicago was the highest, at $4.07.



The Department of Energy will release its weekly survey of diesel and gasoline prices Monday afternoon in Washington.
