Gasoline Price Rise Slows, Lundberg Survey Says

Gasoline’s national average price slowed its gain, rising 6.7 cents over the past two weeks to an average $3.573 a gallon, according to the latest Lundberg Survey of filling stations released Sunday.

Diesel’s average rose a dime in the past two weeks to $3.98 per gallon, analyst Trilby Lundberg said in her twice-monthly report.

Mid- and premium grades each rose 7 cents to $3.71 and $3.82 per gallon, respectively, Lundberg said. The gasoline average had increased 33 cents in the previous two weeks.

Billings, Mont., had the lowest average price among cities surveyed at $3.27 gallon, while San Francisco was the highest, at $3.97.
