Gasoline rose 3.5 cents in the past two weeks to a national average $3.39 per gallon, according to the latest Lundberg Survey of filling stations released Sunday.

It was the twice-monthly survey’s second consecutive increase and just the second gain Oct. 21.

Midgrade rose 3 cents to $3.54 per gallon and premium rose 4 cents to $3.66.

Regular grade’s average is 28 cents over the same week a year ago, Bloomberg reported.

Diesel’s average rose 2 cents to $3.91 per gallon.

Oil rose to more than $99 a barrel in early trading Monday as the European Union said it would phase-in an embargo of Iranian oil later this year, Bloomberg reported.

The Department of Energy will release its weekly survey of diesel and gasoline prices Monday afternoon in Washington.
