he Federal Highway Administration is continuing its “Talking Freight” Web seminar series through May. The monthly “Webinars” are designed to provide a no-cost way for transportation practitioners to broaden their knowledge about transporting freight.

The spring series continues Feb. 15, with a framework for freight analysis; Feb. 22, traffic incident management; and March 15, moving commodities from origin to destination.

Additional seminars for 2006 will be posted in coming months.

To listen or review past seminars, you may access recordings containing the visual and audio components from the seminars. However, they cannot be saved to one’s computer. Closed captioning for each recording is available in a separate file that can be opened in a separate window.

Participants see the presenters’ PowerPoint slides over the Internet while listening to their commentary over the telephone. The slides can be downloaded and printed.

No cost is involved, although registration is limited to 100 people. Registration, required for each session, is available online at http://talkingopsandfreight.webex.com.
