ATLANTA — Eaton Corp. announced new features for its IntelliConnect remote diagnostics technology that provide near real-time monitoring of vehicle fault codes, prioritizes the critical events and offers action plans created by the company’s technical experts.

The Southfield, Mich.-based company said the upgrades:

  •  Allow fleet administrators to receive updates on overall fleet transmission health.

  •  Receive a report that compiles lists of all vehicles with transmission service recommendations.
  •  Add and update fleet information by uploading a vehicle file.
  •  Filter service activity reports based on fault codes or components.
  •  See a fleet page to view which vehicles are experiencing issues.

“Our customers are very important to us, and their feedback led to many of the new features we’ve added to IntelliConnect,” Kevin Snow, manager of service engineering solutions for the Vehicle Group at Eaton, said in a release. “These improvements make it easier for fleet administrators to more quickly identify vehicles with potential service needs and determine next steps.”

IntelliConnect is included with every Eaton Cummins automated transmission. It reports diagnostic reports through email alerts, the Navistar OnCommand Connection portal — an existing telematics portal — or online at the IntelliConnect website.
