Companies to Market All-in-One Card

SmartStop Inc. of Portland, Ore., and T-Check of Eden Prairie, Minn., formed a partnership to create a new “smart card” that will provide access to a variety of services.

T-Check will develop the card, which will serve as driver identification and allow access to electronic cash transfers, security services, prepaid calling and fuel transactions. The company said the card will cut costs by reducing charges for each transaction, allowing drivers to obtain cash more often and to make purchases other than fuel.

SmartStop will lend its telecommunications network and other services to the project.
