Comdata Expands Cardless Payment Options

Comdata Corp. announced it expanded its cardless payment options with a new point-of-sale platform called Smart Solutions.

The system, which has been installed in two Davis Travel Center locations, works with an RFID tag, further automating data-entry requirements, Comdata said. The tag reduces the risk of fraudulent transactions, automatically shutting off the pump when the truck pulls away.

Love's Travel Stops is near completion of enabling more than 235 stops to accept cardless transactions, and Travel Centers of America also is in the process of equipping its locations to accept cardless transactions, Comdata said.

The company also announced it has expanded its fleet card and corporate card options in Canada, allowing drivers to carry a single card and use a single program. That program has billing in Canadian dollars and is able to manage data for Canadian tax reporting.
