CN's Quarterly Profit Improves

Canadian National Railway, Canada’s largest railroad, said its net income rose 14% to C$552 million in the third quarter, or C$1.16 a share, from C$485 million, or 96 cents, a year ago.

Revenue rose 12% to C$2.3 billion, the company said late Tuesday.

Coal led the rail line’s revenue increase with a 41% rise.
