Clean Energy Fuels Posts Quarterly Loss

Clean Energy Fuels Corp. reported a $20.9 million loss, or 29 cents per share, in the fourth quarter, compared with a profit of $13.8 million, or 18 cents a share, in the year-earlier period.

Although the company reported a loss, Clean Energy said its sale of gasoline gallon equivalents delivered, including liquefied and compressed natural gas, increased to 40 million from 31.7 million, a 26% increase.

Clean Energy said its results were hurt by higher costs and increased depreciation and amortization.
