Cerulean Offers Wireless System

Using the real-time communication technology it developed for police and public safety uses, Massachusetts-based Cerulean Technology has introduced a wireless communications system that connects mobile workers with their corporate data systems.

MobileFusion provides mobile work forces, such as sales and delivery personnel, with access to corporate and Internet data. It scans a company’s database for information and translates it for output devices such as a laptop computers or smart telephones.

Using the system, field personnel can update the company database from remote locations with information such as sales reports, billing charges and other data.

The system is Windows NT-based and accepts off-the-shelf Web browsers. It works with public and private networks, including conventional radio, cellular digital packet data and satellite.
