During the event, volunteers constructed 31 wooden beds in an assembly line fashion and Bendix issued a $5,000 grant to Sleep in Heavenly Peace. The grant covered the cost of all the materials needed to build and furnish the beds, including mattresses and sheets. Bendix also organized a donation drive to collect funds and bedding donations.
