B.C. Trucking Association President Paul Landry to Step Down

Paul Landry will leave his position as president and CEO of the British Columbia Trucking Association by June 30, the group said Tuesday.

Landry has been president of BCTA since May 1994, the association said in a statement. During his time, he helped to double motor carrier membership in the organization.

The long lead time is meant to give BCTA time to find a new president, it said. Landry will continue to serve as president until the group's board of directors finds a replacement.

“Paul’s contribution to the ongoing success of BCTA is well known to all of our members,” said Murray Scandeng, chairman of the board.

Landry had penned several Opinion pieces for Transport Topics, including one in the Sept. 13 issue about Canada’s Trucking Week. (Click here for article.)
