ATRI Seeks Hours-of-Service Data from Fleets

The American Transportation Research Institute said it is seeking data from motor carriers for a study of the impacts of hours-of-service rules.

ATRI is asking for overall safety data from fleets, in addition to specific data related to the 11-hour limit and 34-hour restart.

The organization has made its survey available online at www.atri-online.org.

The data will go into a study of the impacts of HOS rules and will provide input in the upcoming process of rewriting the rules, ATRI said. Data from previous ATRI studies have been cited in rulemaking.
