Atlantic Great Dane announced Gene Masteller acquired the company after serving there for more than 30 years, most recently as president.
Terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 1988, Atlantic Great Dane is headquartered in South Portland, Maine, and is one the largest semitrailer dealers and aftermarket service providers in its region. It has about 23 employees and offers an aftermarket program within the Great Dane network, with access to features designed to streamline the functions of parts and service centers. Those include ordering, pricing and invoicing, according to the company.
Masteller began his career with Atlantic Great Dane in 1990 as a shop hand and was named president in 2020.
“I’m very passionate about what I do and take great pride to have been an integral part of where Atlantic Great Dane is today,” he said in a release, “and look forward to providing the same level of service that customers have come to expect from our dealership.”
He added, “I’m proud to have maintained all the employees through the transition and look forward to growing and offering other opportunities to current and future employees.” — Transport Topics
