ORLANDO, Fla. — American Trucking Associations’ honored seven trucking association executives here Oct. 21 for their distinguished service to the trucking industry.

The executives “have proven over the years to be tremendous servants to our industry at the state level and at our affiliates,” said incoming ATA Chairman Philip Byrd Sr., president of Bulldog Hiway Express. “We are lucky to have so many hard-working industry leaders that help make up the ATA federation, and we’re thankful to them for all their hard work and dedication.”

“ATA gets its strength from its diversity,” said federation President Bill Graves. “With a trucking association in all 50 states, plus our affiliated conferences and councils, we represent the widest interests of our industry. Without these groups, it would be impossible to do what we do in Washington every day, so these executives — and all our federation leaders — have my thanks.”

The seven executives, who were honored at the Oct. 21 Advocacy and Government Affairs Luncheon at ATA’s Management Conference & Exhibition, are:

  • Cathy Gautreaux, executive director of the Louisiana Motor Transport Association, 25 years.
  • Rick Todd, president of the South Carolina Trucking Association, 25 years.
  • Ed Crowell, president of the Georgia Motor Truck Association, 20 years.
