Almost 25,000 Engine Retrofits Sold in 2010

MECA said all of the devices it sold were certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and/or the California Air Resources Board for both on-road and off-road uses.

Of the total, 41%, or 10,173, were diesel particulate filters, 9,926 were diesel oxidation catalysts and 1,961 were flow-through filters.

The devices also included 2,580 closed-crankcase filters.
