A St. Louis Park-based truck parts and service company has expanded its footprint into Central Minnesota.

In a deal executed Jan. 27, Allstate Peterbilt Group has added Harrison Truck Parts to its growing portfolio in the Upper Midwest.

Harrison Truck Parts operates at 1201 Lincoln Ave. NE in Sauk Rapids, in addition to locations in Glencoe and Rice Lake, Wisconsin.

"I would say we had been actively looking at expanding into the St. Cloud market for the past eight or nine months," said Mark Dagen, director of parts operations for Allstate Peterbilt Group. "When we weren't able to find what we were looking for we sought to acquire Harrison Truck Parts."

Dagen said Allstate Peterbilt Group was doing quite a bit of business in the St. Cloud area. A brick and mortar location will allow them to better serve customers.

"It really fits our footprint," Dagen said. "We have locations in Rogers and Alexandria. So this fills a void that we have had."

Allstate Peterbilt Group will assume operation of Harrison Truck Parts on Feb. 13.

Harrison Truck Parts' Sauk Rapids location has eight employees. Dagen said he hopes to add five employees to the truck parts and services location by the end of the year.

Allstate Peterbilt Group has over 20 storefronts and five regional distribution centers across Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio, Wisconsin and South Dakota. The company, founded in South St. Paul in 1971, is a factory-authorized dealer of trucks, parts and service under Peterbilt, Hino, Kalmar Ottawa and Ford brands.
